At the age of 5 years old GT Wilkins started classical piano lessons. After 7 years of training, he went on to learn the guitar. The guitar seemed more suitable for him and he went on for now what has been over 50 years on the instrument. Having dabbled with the bass guitar off and on over the years, he picked it up well enough to begin doing recording sessions with it. Gioron also had a love for programming drum machines. After many years he developed a way to make it sound more like a human being playing drums than the quantized mechanical feel.
On his latest singles and albums, he has played every instrument and programmed the drum machine. Having come from the old school of hardware sequencer machines to now computer-based recording. He has done musical arrangements for the off-Broadway play “Faith’s Journey”, A tribute to Martin Luther King Jr at the Lambs Theatre in NYC. At this stage in his life through much experience, Gioron can now be in total agreement as the producer, the writer, the composer, all instrumentation, and arrangements of his music.
